Heeg (in the ‘Fries’ language Heech) is a village in the province of Friesland.
Heeg is a well-known water sports centre with sailing schools, marinas and shipyards. It has a lively village centre, with good restaurants and entertainment venues. In the centre of this quaint and lively village, there are still some 18th-century buildings.

Heeg is located on the northern shore of the lake ‘Heegermeer’, which gives quick and direct access to all waterways in the Frisian lakes area (standing mast route).
The village of Heeg is about ten kilometres south of the city ‘Sneek’, the water sports capital of Friesland characterized by canals, historic houses and bridges, also offering plenty of charming town views, museums, hospitality and fun activities.
